All about apples: varieties, growing and keeping.
Rediscover apples! Simon will discuss how to choose apple varieties, how to nurture your apple trees to get the best from them, and how to store your apples for the best taste. A great celebration on national Apple Day with Simon who has specialised in establishing orchards in the north. You will have a chance to taste a selection of regional apples, apple juices and ciders.
Simon draws on twenty years of experience as an organic gardener and ten years experience as a regional presenter of horticultural items on Tyne Tees Television. He now gives much time to community horticulture: for more information, see his website: www.communityhorticulture.co.uk
