An introduction to identifying birds in spring, both by sight and by their characteristic songs and calls. This is aimed at those with little or no previous experience and those who wish to brush up their skills.
Keith is an environmental consultant with many years experience who has led birdwatching trips in many parts of Europe.
Bird song is building up in April and peaks in May so this is a good time to familiarise yourself with the local residents before all of the migrants arrive.
The course will comprise some indoor tuition but will mainly consist of walks in a range of local habitats. Please bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them, plus weatherproof clothes and footwear.
