How to control garden pests effectively without resorting to chemicals. Lots of ingenious methods.
Simon Cross will be your guide as you explore the weird and wonderful world of Garden Pests and diseases. The session will focus on the range of common and not so common garden pests found in the fruit and vegetable garden, how the worst effects of pests can be managed with good husbandry and finally how best to control them with a range of traditional garden remedies. If you have always wanted to know how to control woodlice with half a jacket potato and a turnip top or how you might go about deter rabbits with a handful of ferret droppings and a clump of foxgloves then this is the course for you!
Simon draws on twenty years of experience as an organic gardener and ten years experience as a regional presenter of horticultural items on Tyne Tees Television.
