This course is designed to encourage participants to enjoy keeping a sketch book. You will learn to record, to make notes for future paintings and to explore new drawing and painting techniques. The emphasis will be on experiment and will involve watching and then trying a series of line and wash techniques.
Please bring your usual painting kit, and a variety of pencils, brushes. pens and inks and charcoal and some sheets of cartridge paper. Also a sketch book - either one you are already using or a new one. If you’d like an individual tutorial on how to develop your present sketchbook techniques you might like to bring some examples of your work.
