Ecology in your garden depends on recognising the essence of the place. Know & nurture your ‘genius’.
This course will chart the history of the garden from its beginnings in Mesopotamia through to the present day. There will be special emphasis on the spiritual inspirations and metaphor of the garden. We will look at the ‘genius’ or ‘spirit’ of a place and how to work with it. It is a matter of responding to the natural environment: gardening ecology in its truest sense. Please bring weatherproof clothes and footwear.
