The colours and patterns of flowers in the context of gardens and trees have a great attraction for artists such as Claude Monet. Join Lionel in outdoor sketching studies of the garden in spring followed by an indoor development in water based painting. Working outdoors in mid spring we can still see the winter colours with the fresh new colours of spring superimposed on them as a contrast. Lionel can help you to simplify the complexity of colour and pattern in the garden in sketches using a combination of drawing and colouring materials.
Back indoors, you will have the opportunity of interpreting these in painting using water based materials such as watercolour, gouache or acrylics.
If the weather is warm we can paint outdoors like Monet. Basic skills in drawing and watercolour are useful.
Ring Lionel on 01434 381 092 if you’d like to know more.
